Since the moment when Estonia was released from the Soviet yoke and communism, 2015 was the first year when the population has grown: the slight population decrease (-1336 capita) was exceeded by the net immigration (+2410 capita). We can see through this phenomenon that the improving living conditions, the growth in the average wage (around 1100 euros) increased the attractiveness of the country, which has a positive effect on the future economy of Estonia. The liberalist economic model makes an impact on the demography as well.
„According to Statistics Estonia, 15,413 persons immigrated to and 13,003 persons emigrated from Estonia in 2015. Net migration was 2,410 and natural increase -1,336, meaning that immigration compensated for the population decrease which occurred due to negative natural increase.”
The now elected Austrian head of state has Estonian ancestors; Van der Bellen’s mother is Estonian. Interesting European family history: Dutch ancestors have moved to Russia in 1763, after that they repaired to Estonia from the Bolsheviks, but when Estonia has been taken over, they got to Germany, after that to Vienna. But when the soviets marched into Vienna as well, they finally end up in Tirol… The traditional Austrian receiving attitude attracted several benefits and highbrowed people into the country.
What have Szende Pal harmed that he is dispossessed of the street name. There is so little to know about him. He was a progressive radical civic politician. He is the author of several studies with taxpaying, public administration and sociological topics. He was the financial minister in 1918, during the first Hungarian republic period. He repaired from the communism to Vienna, where he wrote anticommunist articles (again Vienna, as receiver), from where he didn’t want to come back to the milieu of the white terror. It is not really understandable why this tiny street has to be taken away from him, especially when this street is near the building of the formal Ministry of Finance. There would be room for him too, furthermore, after his peer, Sándor Wekerle, is named already an entire city area.
